Consumer interest in sustainable fabrics are increasing and brands in the clothing industry are increasingly more demanding with regard to the purchasing of certified textile products. Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX is one of the world’s best known labels for fabrics tested for harmful substances, it stands for customer confidence and high product safety, our investment in Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX guarantees the highest sustainability standards for our business and our products.
The Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX label confirms each product has been tested for harmful substances and is harmless in human ecological terms, all tests are conducted and the certificates issued exclusively by neutral independent OEKO-TEX test institutes.
Packaging
Any polythene waste generated as part of our business processes is segregated and then collected by our supplier Duo UK based in Manchester, as they deliver new packaging products. Our waste is recycled and then recycled material is then re-used in our new packaging products. The process helps keep this valuable material in the loop and out of the environment and helps reduce our dependency on virgin finite materials.
What’s more, every 1t of virgin material use avoided is the equivalent embodied carbon saving of 2.621tCO2e.

Waste
Obviously there is waste within every commercial business, but we try and deal with our waste responsibly, Blackburn Skips operate from a fully licensed Material Recovery Facilty where they recycle/reuse 93% of waste that passes through their transfer station.
A ‘Nil to Landfill’ Waste to Energy Service is provided, with a business target to achieve 100% diversion from Landfill. Every month they supply Waste Management Reports showing a detailed breakdown of recycled waste to support their business environmental compliance requirements.
